Raspberries in Florida?

We went from freezing cold to instant summer.  Hot and dry.  Dead vegetation everywhere.  Winter rye sighed a last goodbye and returned to nourish earth.  I was in Lowes; buying Emerald Zoysia to cut into plugs.  Standing in line; a lady pulls up behind me with a cart full of Raspberries.  My kind of lady too, her cane was tossed in her buggy.  I asked her "Do raspberries really grow and fruit in Florida?"  Heck yes she says.  Hmm, they are in the rose family are they not?

Previous owners had installed a rose arbor on the SE side of the property.  I'm not much into providing specialized rose care.  But raspberries?  Queue leave checkout lane, go pick out raspberry plants.  Decide to pick up a cherry tomato plant to keep them company
